Extinció: Señor Serrano & Cor Cererols
Missa Pro Defunctis a 7 and Missa de Batalla a 12 by Joan Cererols
Formation: cor (12 cantants) and bass continuo
Duration: 60’00’’ without pause
The performance "Extinció" stages the Masses of Battle and Pro Defunctis by the composer and Benedictine monk Joan Cererols (1618 - 1680) in a poetic, visual, and musical work that includes video cameras, performance, objects, and live projections with the choir and an instrumental ensemble on stage.
This is a collaboration between Cor Cererols and Señor Serrano, in a performance based on the music from two of the major works of the Iberian Baroque era.
